She tries to explain the meaningless of the unfair life or we must read between the line?.. coz the writer tells more than just the hurt which life offers?
Her sharp/"cold"/ (sometimes) "pathetic" / exploding - imagination (or not?) writing leaves us an unforgettable aftertaste... -"Xuyên Mỹ"- Except for the fact that the price is quite high & it misleads someone about thinking "Xuyen My" is the travel journal, this next chapter of her 1st book "Mot minh o Chau Au" is good enough to be the "manual guide" of mending the broken heart as well as the instruction finding the way back into ... life...That's just the very private life but this "autobiography" book could share with you some experience if you're also struggling with this life...Following the writer's mind and divorce-process story, you will find the way to swim and overcome many "waterfall and rapids"of (your real) hard time in so-called life.
Besides, the reader can find the American beauty/spirit through her story also...I'm waiting for her next book. -Reading "Thanh pho bi ket an bien mat" is being immersed into the word worlds in which a lot of colors/ images talks to you and takes you to the unreal world. You're not reading the story flow but reading the way the writer (son of Trần Dần poet & husband of Thuận writer) creats the unreal/fog-surrounding world where there's 2 mysterious men named X.
...It could be the tricky visual-game with your mind or the clever mind-game with your imagination.

Bằng những lên đường hực hỡ, với những chuyển động theo mây hay những bước chân tràn như sóng vỡ...chạm vào cái tím loang như vây bủa từ chập chùng khi chiều giăng lưới, hay lẫn hoà vào cái xanh của sóng biển một sớm mai hồng...Sống một đời sống khác...Ở một nơi ai cũng quen nhau mà chưa hề và sẽ không bao giờ biết nhau...Mỗi ngày là một ý nghĩ khác, tươi tắn và thơm hương của tưng bừng nắng mới...
